Important Information
DEPOSIT / DRIVER & PASSENGER REQUIREMENTS
- Deposit: A $1600.00 AUTHORIZATION will be required, for any Polaris vehicle, on a CREDIT CARD and/or a CASH DEPOSIT. NOTE: The credit card authorization will be released by Spinreel at the end of your rental time, pending no damage. It depends on your card company when that money is released back onto the card. VISA Cards can releases the money back to you usually 1 to 10 days. Debit Cards and Master Cards can take up to 30 days. Please check with your card company to see what their policy is. The Credit Card AND Card holder must be present to authorize the deposit.
- Drivers / Renter: All drivers of any Polaris vehicle must be at least 18 years of age and older and Posses a VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE. Drivers must be at least 25 if any passenger is under the age of 18.
- Passengers: must fit properly (be approximately 52 inches or taller and able to sit in the seat with their feet on the floorboard with their back against the seat) and wear a helmet. no car seats allowed. If the child does not fit properly upon checking their fitment, a refund can be issued.
**IT IS ILLEGAL TO OPERATE A SIDE BY SIDE OR MOTOR VEHICLE IN THE DUNES OR THE STATE OF OREGON IF YOUR LICENSE IS SUSPENDED DENIED OR REVOKED, AND WORK PERMITS ARE NOT ALLOWED” UNDER ORS: 811.182
RENTING WHILE PREGNANT
WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK
- SHOES: Drivers and passengers Must wear closed toed shoes. (ABSOLUTLEY NO SANDALS, SLIP-ONS, FLIP FLOPS OR CROCS ALLOWED)
- DRIVERS LICENSE: You must bring your driver’s license if you plan on driving.
- There is a short orientation to ensure safety and comfortability with your rental (we recommend arriving 45 minutes in advance).
- Plan extra time before and after your actual rental time for check-in and check-out.
- WEATHER: Check the weather forecast, dress appropriately for the weather. We are open rain or shine unless there is one of our famous powerful Pacific winter storms, at which time we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your rental.
- PETS: Your companion is allowed on the vehicles. Small pets must be able to be held in your lap. Larger pets must be able to be controlled in a seat by themselves.
- AREA OF OPPERATION OF OUR RENTAL: Our vehicles operate ONLY in the Coos Bay riding area. They are NOT for rental and use in the Winchester Bay and/or Florence/Sitcoos riding areas.
BEACH DRIVING
It is required to have at least a minimum 2-hour rental to be able to drive on the beach. The beach during the year can be closed to vehicles due to weather, tides or flooding. This can change at any time without notice.
RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY
We require a 100% payment for all reservations at the time of booking. A seperate damagedeposit will be authorized and held till the end ofyour rental tie upon your reservation arrival time.
Any changes or cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the time of your reservation to be eligible for a full refund. Changes requested less than 48 hours before the start of your reservation can be subject to additional fees and changes will be made only if available. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start of your reservation will not be refunded but could be issued Gift Certificate of the equal value of your reservation. If you do not show up for your reservation time, you will forfeit your rental and deposit. The credit card you provide for your reservation will be held in the system and can be charged for any and all additional rentals, damage and loss of use charges authorized by the terms of the rental agreement/contract.
**Changes/Cancellations PROCEDURE:**
Any changes or cancellations to your reservation must be made at least 48 hours prior to the time of your reservation by calling 541-759-3313. The cancellation must be made person to person over the phone or at the front counter. No cancellations will be accepted via phone message machine or e-mail. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start of your reservation are not eligible for a refund. Cancellations in the 48 hours prior to the reservation can change date and times if available or can be issued a gift certificate. Cancellations that have changed dates and/or times will not be allowed any changes, gift certificates or refunds after the date has been changed to the secondary date and/or time. NO EXCEPTIONS!
** WEATHER POLICY** While making your reservation you can select to accept”SENSIBLEWEATHER” INSURANCE. This gives you the ability to cancel at the last minute due to bad weather and obtain your refund via “SENSIBLEWEATHER”. Otherwise, NO refund and/or NO gift certificate will be issued due to weather. Customers will also receive a full refund or Gift card in cases where the OPERATOR CANCELS, due to severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
OVERNIGHT RENTALS
THERE ARE NO OVERNIGHT RENTALS. All vehicles must be returned to our facity before the end of the business day.
ATTENTION: We do NOT allow our vehicles to operate in the Winchester Bay or Florence riding areas. We operate in the Coos / Spinreel riding area and you ride directly from our facility. OUR RENTALS ARE NOT ALOUD TO BE TOWED OR TRAILERED. We do not deliver.
